LOGOSavvy: Developing a Name and Identity for Brand Success
Call for entries
Rockport Publishers, the noted international design publisher, has extended its call for entries to 9 January 2006 for an upcoming publication featuring the development stories behind some of the world's most intriguing brands. Logo Savvy: Developing a Name & Identity for Brand Success will focus on the process behind the development of some of the best names and identities contributed by a list of top-notch international design firms. Rockport will be collaborating with the Vancouver-based international branding-development company, WOW Branding, in the production of this book.
Eligibility Any complete name and logo design system created within the last two years is eligible except for those published in other Rockport books. Those submitting work are invited to submit as many pieces as they would like and there is no entry fee.
What to Send Designers are asked to send colour printouts of all submissions for use in the selection process in addition to including the following on CD:
1 - A print reproduction-quality electronic file of the logo in vector format (Adobe Illustrator)
2 - A minimum of four high-res TIFF files showing logo applications photographs of stationery, packaging, printing collateral, clothing, signage, etc.
3 - A rationale for each submission including:
-- The inspiration for the new name/logo -- The top 3 names/logos that weren t used -- The process used to develop the name/logo -- The brand values and criteria the name/logo had to satisfy
4 - Sketches/diagrams of any internal systems used in the creative process
