Council for Interior Design Accreditation Seeks Future Vision Nominations

The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (formerly FIDER) is seeking nominations for Future Vision. Selected participants will describe the future of interior design, identifying the most critical implications for interior design education in 2009 and beyond. Results will be used to develop the next generation of quality standards for educating entry-level interior designers. Future Vision takes place November 3-5, 2006.
Future Vision nominees should exemplify:
1. A well informed, broad-based view of interior design higher education, practice, or industry 2. Thought leadership with the ability to analyze information, identify issues, and describe implications beyond one's own sphere of experience 3. Future-orientation, specifically the ability to identify future implications for the interior design profession and education 4. Professionalism and diplomacy including openness and respect for diverse perspectives 5. A collaborative spirit with a desire to balance one's own view with that of others
Letters of recommendation with contact information for nominee(s) should be sent to Holly Mattson in the Council office no later than May 15, 2006. Nominees will be asked to submit credentials and a letter of interest. Self-nominees should send a letter of interest, credentials, and a reference letter to:
