INDEX: Award 2007 Nomination
From June 12th until November 18th 2006, designers from all over the world have the chance to be nominated for the biggest design awards in the world - if they have created design that improves the lives of people.
On June 12th 2006 the nominations for INDEX: Award 2007 opened. The nomination process ends on November 18th 2006, after which the international jury will take over the voting, select 100 top nominees and subsequently announce the five conclusive winners.
The prize sum for the winners in each of the five INDEX: categories: BODY, HOME, WORK, PLAY and COMMUNITY is €100.000. The award show will take place in Copenhagen City Hall on August 24th 2007, and the awards are presented by the Danish Minister of Economic and Business Affairs, the Danish Minister of Culture, the Copenhagen Mayor for Culture under supervision of HRH the Crown Prince of Denmark.
INDEX: - a World Event for Design "At this point, 150 international design institutions from 45 countries on six continents have already registered as nomination bodies", says INDEX: director Kigge Hvid and continues, "we are happy and proud to see that the message about the world's biggest design awards have already echoed throughout the world - so soon after our first award show in September 2005."
Everyone Can Nominate Design to Improve Life At http://www.indexaward.dk, both registered professional design institutions and "regular" individuals can nominate designs for INDEX: Award. Registration as a Nomination Body Prolonged Until August 1st 2006 Due to the great interest towards INDEX: 2007, the deadline for registration as a nomination has been prolonged until August 1st 2006.
