Gen Art Seeks Emerging Fashion Designers from Florida and Georgia
MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 13, 2005--Gen Art is now looking for talented fashion designers and accessory designers who are based in Florida or Georgia to participate in the 2nd Annual Fresh Faces in Fashion to be held this March 2005 in Miami, Florida. Fresh Faces in Fashion is a cutting edge, high-profile runway show which is attended by over 800 guests including press, buyers, celebrities and fashion industry professionals.
Held oceanside at the exquisite Raleigh Hotel last year, Fresh Faces in Fashion showcased an unforgettable evening under the stars showcasing Julian Chang, Raiza, Krelwear, and Citrine by the Stones from Miami as well as four Gen Art alumni from other cities, Lost Art (New York), Binetti (New York), Lemon Twist (San Francisco), and Keenan Duffty (New York).
In order to be eligible to participate in Gen Art's Fresh Faces in Fashion event, applicants must meet the following requirements:
-- Designer currently has a full collection to show (at least 10 notable and different looks)
-- Designer's label is less than 7 years old
-- Designer is currently selling garments/accessories in at least one store

Entry deadline is Tuesday, February 1, 2005. Up to three designers will be chosen by a Selection Committee made up of talented industry professionals including fashion editors, stylists and retail buyers. Gen Art's fashion program also supports emerging fashion talent through our business seminars, networking events and industry and resource referrals.
