Architecture Internet Award 2005This year will be the seventh time the Architecture Internet Award is initiated.
BauNetz, Autodesk and Hewlett-Packard are announcing the seventh Architecture Internet Award.
The total prize sum is worth 15,000 euros.
The competition is not anonymous.
It is open to anyone - individuals and teams - interested in architecture, multimedia and design.
Legal entities, e.g. companies or institutes, may only participate if all the authors are mentioned by name.
The authors are individually entitled to any prizes awarded.
Final Deadline for submitting entries is 17 October 2005.
The task consists of presenting a visionary concept on the future of architecture.
At the same time, the participants are asked to illustratively describe a built-up location in its decisive properties and potentials; describe a utilization concept that can be architecturally put on this location.
The existing building development has to be integrated into this concept, whether in parts or entirely.
The new buildings can be juxtaposed or put above or below the existing building stock.
It is also possible to fully integrate the new elements into the existing development and to write up an antagonism like
work-repose, movement-statics, bright-dark, top-bottom etc.
