 ICAM-MED First Regional Meeting in IstanbulICAM-MED work group is organizing its first meeting in Istanbul between the dates 6-8 October 2005.This is a special group that has both new members and ICAM (The International Confederation of Architectural Museums) members. ICAM-MED aims to organize a professional network of architectural archives, centers, museums and schools to share research, exhibitions, and publications and to promote preservation and the better understanding of architectural heritage within the Mediterranean area. This group is founded by the initiative of Arkitera Architecture Center and DARDUS Universita Politecnica delle Marche. The theme of the first meeting in Istanbul is "The Foreign Influence in Modern and Contemporary Mediterranean Architecture". Researchers from various countries may present their studies with poster presentations based on this theme. Apart from that, presentations of member institutions ranging from Italy to Egypt will take place within this meeting, where different institutions may show their activities to their colleagues.
