Second Annual Cleveland Design ShowThe Ohio Design Centre is dipping into the past for the second annual Cleveland Design Show, to be held Friday, Oct. 1, at the center, 23533 Mercantile Road, Beachwood.
"The House in Good Taste," a 1913 classic design book by Elsie DeWolfe that helped set the stage for the simpler, lighter homes of the 20th century, is this year's theme. Interior designers, decorating experts and food professionals will be on hand for the show, which is open to the public.
The show is 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. One of the highlights is "Ask the Expert," where local interior designers will answer questions. Customers are encouraged to bring pictures, fabric samples, room measurements and floor plans. Registration for the half-hour sessions begins at 8:45 a.m. Sessions run from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also, there will be classes on working with leather, embellishments, working with an interior designer, flooring, coordinating patterns and textures, working with color, a menu and pastry sampling, and collecting.
Admission is $10. Customers can bring their own bag lunch, as only limited refreshments will be available for purchase.
