See the Light of TomorrowExplore award winning student projects and interesting entrants in an unique online exhibition.
The International VELUX Award 2004 for Students of Architecture encourages European students of architecture as well as their teachers to explore and demonstrate innovative use of daylight in buildings under the theme "Light of Tomorrow".
The Award was launched in January 2004, and by the submission deadline 258 projects had been received.
In October ten winners were announced at the Award Event in Paris. The jury comprised: --> Glenn Murcutt, Architect, Australia, Winner of the Pritzker Prize 2002.--> Craig Dykers, Architect, Director of Snöhetta Architects, Norway. Egyptian National Library in Alexandria. --> John Pawson, Architect, United Kingdom.--> James F. Horan, Architect, Ireland.--> Ole Bouman, Architect, the Netherlands. --> Ahmet Gülgönen, Architect, France, --> Michael Pack, managing director of VELUX Germany.
The jury generally praised the students for their great imagination and creativity and for their remarkable presentation skills.
