Architecture: Celebrating the Past, Designing the FutureThe American Institute of Architects (AIA) released Architecture: Celebrating the Past, Designing the Future, a collection of essays, vignettes and profiles from 70 of most the influential architects, journalists and scholars from around the world.
Offering a candid look at the profession's past 150 years, the book also provides an in-depth analysis about the role of the AIA architect in creating the vibrant, sustainable communities of the future.
In addition to narrative from contributors such as renowned architects Thom Mayne, FAIA, and Robert A.M. Stern, FAIA, scholar James Steele and journalist Paul Goldberger, Hon. AIA, the book contains 560 photographs that depict some of the greatest architectural collaborations and contributions of our time.
