REGREEN Highlights Sustainable Spaces for New Best Practices GuidelinesSustainable Spaces, a leading specialist in the growing field of home performance contracting and systems engineering, today announced that REGREEN, a best practices guidelines manual for green remodeling, has highlighted the company's approach to remediating home performance by including an in-depth home performance case study in their recent guidelines.
REGREEN is a partnership between the American Society of Interior Designers' Foundation (ASID) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
"Green homes are healthier places to live, are better for the environment and save money," said Linda Sorrento, Director, Education & Resource Partnerships for the U.S. Green Building Council.
"The REGREEN guidelines are an immediate and measurable way that individuals and homeowners can make a difference in the environment."
"Home performance evaluation and remediation is the science of evaluating the 'performance' of the entire home.
We look at how each component -- energy, windows, appliances, heating and ventilation -- interrelates in a systemic way to measure energy efficiency, air quality and comfort," said Sustainable Spaces founder Matt Golden.
