Urban Street Hunt 2008Taking place on Saturday 12 July 2008, the Urban Street Hunt will be a headline event for the London Festival of Architecture's Southwark & South Bank hub.
The neighbourhoods south of the river are full of undiscovered spaces and architectural treasures.
Organised by The Architecture Foundation, Shoot Experience and designer Jonathan Legge, in association with Southbank Centre, the aim is to encourage people to discover the streets and places around them.
The Urban Street Hunt is a project of exploration, engaging the public with their local architecture.
It will take place across the hub, from the River Thames down to Elephant and Castle, from Waterloo and Southbank Centre to the Design Museum, and the places in between.
Using the immediacy of digital photography and a treasure hunt format, teams of people will work together, get creative and take photographs, inspiring them to take a fresh look at the surroundings.
Prizes are awarded for the most creative photographs and an exhibition follows the event, showcasing the best images.
