Sofia Architecture Week 2009 has attracted famous architects from all over the world to an event that will teach Bulgaria's capital how to become a clean and functional city.
The second edition of Sofia Architecture Week will be held from October 30 to November 5.
Luis Mansilla and Emilio Tunon, winners of the prestigious Mies Van Der Rohe (2007) European Union prize for contemporary architecture, will headline the forum under the motto Changing Urban Vision.
One of the youngest and most interesting European architects, Julien De Smedt, will also take part in the event. Belgian-Danish JDS studio founder De Smedt, is this year's laureate of the Maaskant prize.
