The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announced new additions to the nation's first green residential remodeling guidelines, which will be available at USGBC's annual Greenbuild International Conference & Expo in Phoenix, Ariz., Nov. 11 - 13.
With more than 100,000 downloads since its launch in March of 2008, the REGREEN guidelines now include three webinars, four online CEUs, a two-day workshop at Greenbuild, an updated website and a REGREEN certificate program.
"From its inception, the REGREEN program was designed to expand beyond the guidelines," says Thom Banks, Hon. FASID, ASID Deputy Executive Director.
"The capabilities of the website as well as the content of the educational offerings are exceptional, enriching the program and setting the direction for future REGREEN resources."
"Making smart home renovation decisions can make a significant impact on energy use and resource consumption, saving money and creating a healthier home to live in," said Rick Fedrizzi, President, CEO and Founding Chair, USGBC.
"The new REGREEN website, coupled with the new educational offerings, will make it even easier for homeowners and designers to find the information they need to make educated and greener choices in the home."
