Brenau Interior Design Students Win National AwardInterior Design students at Brenau University's Atlanta Campus were recognized as winners of the national ASID (American Society Interior Design) Student Chapter Newsletter of the Year award at the July 15-18 annual Leadership Conference, held in Washington D.C.
"ASID student chapters from across the nation enter their newsletters for consideration for the ASID award, so this is a tremendous honor for the chapter," said Sandy McGowen, F (Fellow) ASID, faculty advisor.
Brenau student Peggy Rimkus of Cumming, Ga., serves as editor of the Brenau newsletter "Designer's Details." Other Brenau interior design students involved in the project are Laura Hutton of Suwanee, Ga.; Jeremy Davis from Atlanta, Ga. and Sheryl Brown-Hayes of Norcross, Ga.
"This chapter has been outstanding this year in so many ways and the Georgia Chapter is so proud of them for having their accomplishments recognized," McGowen said.
Brenau University offers more than 30 baccalaureate and graduate programs with liberal arts foundations. Brenau University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelor's, master's and the specialist in education degrees.
