Find Inspiration at 7th Annual Design ExpoMore than 500 design professionals will give tips on making homes and gardens beautiful this month at the seventh annual San Diego Interior Design & Landscape Expo. "It's a great source for ideas and inspiration," said Amiee Cebulski, spokeswoman for the expo. "It's a great one-stop source for information on design trends and techniques."
The expo will be Feb. 25-27 in Halls B2 and C at the San Diego Convention Center. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. The expo will be open from noon to 9 p.m. Feb. 25, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 26 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 27.
Expo highlights include eight interior-design vignettes inspired by famous works of art. One room will be inspired by the painting "Banana Patch Heaven" by Chun of Hawaii, and another will reflect the cosmopolitan feel inspired by artist Trish Biddle's painting "Champagne Lounge."
Visitors can bring design plans for their own rooms and get free advice from design consultants at the expo, which also will have landscaping tips for gardeners.
"Mainly, it's just to give people some ideas of what they can do, whether they do it themselves or hire someone else to do it," said Cindy Benoit, owner of Benoit's Exterior Design in Carlsbad. "My focus is to make the environment a better place, especially these days, with people working in of
