The Back Bowls Wins Architectural Design AwardsThe Back Bowl Family Entertainment Center in Eagle, along with designer Architectural Concepts, has been recognized in two design categories in their industry.
The 2004 Annual Bowling Center Architecture and Design awards were announced in the Bowler's Journal International (BJI). Each year, BJI along with a panel of distinguished architects gives awards in several categories for cutting edge and innovative new building designs within the bowling industry.
This year, Eagle County's own Back Bowl won in two different categories: "Best New Center Interior" and "Best New Center Lounge/Restaurant " for the Bowlmor Cafe and Sports Lounge within the facility. Vail Daily readers also awarded The Back Bowls "Best New Business" in their annual "Best Of" special section.
The bowling center was designed by Architectural Concepts of Denver. Architectural Concepts is an internationally recognized firm specializing in bowling and entertainment centers throughout the world.
"The Back Bowl artfully combines tastefulness and fun with impressive results," said the BJI panel.
Vaulted ceiling combined with dramatic curves, rich colors and materials and living-room-type furnishings give the bowling center a level of comfort unsurpassed in the industry.
