Residential Designers Gear up for Interior Design AwardThe latest trends in residential interior design have been revealed as Australia's leading interior designers are short-listed for the coveted Residential Interior Design Award as part of the prestigious 2005 Interior Design Awards.
A partnership event of the Design Institute of Australia, the largest, most influential forum for the display of contemporary design, designEX and Artichoke Magazine, the annual Awards champion outstanding commercial and residential interior design by Australian designers and form one of the most important and professionally respected nights in the industry's calendar.
The short list for the Residential Interior Design Category, was compiled from 57 entries from throughout Australia, covering a wide range of residences from homes overlooking the Sydney Harbour, to converted sugar refineries and churches, to apartments set in the mountains.
Of the short list of 20 entrants, Victoria has the greatest percentage, with a representation of 11 projects, followed by New South Wales with six projects, and South Australia and Queensland both with one.
From the short list, Finalists, a Best of State Winner, an overall Residential Interior Design Winner, and an overall Interior Design Excellence & Innovation Winner will be announced at the Interior Design Awards Gala Presentation Dinner on Friday,
