Marike Wins iF Product Design Award 2005The Hague - At the age of 26 the Dutch designer Marike Andeweg has won the prestigious international iF product design award 2005 for the design of the bath WELL.
Not only because of her young age, but also the international character of the award, makes winning the design award very special.
Marike Andeweg started her career almost three years ago at the Dutch furniture manufacturer Pastoe.
After two years she started for herself by launching her own label Marike.
Soon after the Dutch market was swept with her products, interest came from all over the world.
Momentarily even interest from Moscow to Hong Kong is shown for her designs.
The products of Marike are characterised by their simplicity; fresh with an unforced combination of materials, technique and design. At 10 March 2005, the award was presented to her in Hannover, Germany.
