25 kV BuildingSince August 1, 2005, boo - ben oostrum ontwerpt is stationed at the 25 kV building, part of the Schiecentrale in Rotterdam.
The Schiecentrale in the Lloyd Quarter in Rotterdam is a former electricity factory which has been transformed into a creative melting pot.
The people of Rotterdam used to get their electricity from this accumulator house, now it sparkles with creativity.
In the Schiecentrale over 80 companies and artists are working beside and with each other.
55 of them are located in the 25 kV building.
The aim of bringing together so much creativity is to create synergy.
All kinds of cooperation take place because of the 'open' architecture (much glass and a large number of open spaces) and the presence of many creative companies between new and old media and between artists and entrepreneurs, from product designer to 3D-animaters, from web designer to film directors, from concept makers and photographers to film producers, from casting agencies to video artists, and many more.
