Tiles that Respond to Touch Volatile from Sensitile

Tiles that Respond to Touch: Volatile from Sensitile

Volatile is a resin based material embedded with a fiber-optic mesh to create a material in which hundreds of inter-connected points of light seem to float within a luminous and translucent substrate.

Due to the complex interconnectivity inside, Volatile also exhibits the SensiTile quality of being able to respond to changes in light intensity and color, creating a delicate surface of tiny sparkles that come alive to your touch.

Volatile's resin base can be pigmented to be almost any color and the density and size of the light points can also be varied, making Volatile a very customizable system that has limitless possibility in various applications.

Volatile is currently available only on a custom basis and not a standard tile form.
