10th Edition of Milano Film FestivalMilano Film Festival presents the selection of feature and short films that will be included in the Short and Feature Film Competition and defines a program rich in reviews, retrospectives and screenings.
As in the previous years, the festival offers an overview on the world independent film production, and it plays the role of an alternative distributor of a resource that would otherwise remain unknown.
After having viewed more than 1900 works - including about 1400 short films - the selection committee has chosen 7 feature and 45 short films that will participate to the international competition.
The feature film selection results from a thorough research among innovative and creative filmmakers: 4 female directors (for 3 of them this is their first work) and several co-productions (12 countries are represented by the 7 films) that underline how the film industry can be based on the cooperation of different countries.
Remarkable is the film Mars, by the 29-year-old director Anna Melikian, at her first presence in the feature films competition (she has already participated for 3 years to Milano Film Festival with different short films).
