Decompression ChamberSeven leading artists / designers create bespoke microstructures, which offer visitors a place for contemplation.
Five of the seven works have been specially commissioned for the exhibition and each is a one-off experiment in working with technology and either new or sustainable materials.
In every case, visitors are invited to enter the spaces - providing a refuge in which they are isolated from the world, the spaces become vehicles for transporting us to another place, offering either sensory deprivation or overload, and shelter and solace.
