Olivier Goka and Bernard BabetteThe Belgian Galerie du Botanique is going to show Olivier Goka's humorous plastic sculptures as photographed by Bernard Babette.
La collection Vonpischmeyer is the baffling title of the exhibition which opens on September 28th and runs until November 11th.
Presenting his witty versions of so-called primitive art, Goka raises the much-discussed and often misused question of the authenticity of art.
He recreates the original shape and form of ritualistic and minimalist African sculptures with a strictly non-natural material: plastic.
