14. Ceramics Bienalle BelgradeThe 14. Ceramics Bienalle Belgrade has opened on 4 October 2007 at The SUPERSPACE Belgrade Gallery with some 500 visitors.
A pretty impressive opening for humble ceramics!
This traditional manifestation has been organised by the Ceramics Section of ULUPUDS (Association of Fine Artists of Applied Arts and Designers of Serbia) since 1978.
36 artists from Belgrade, mostly of the younger and middle generation, have exhibited 72 works.
Exhibited works vary from cups and bowls to objects, sculptures and installations, and a video work, employing a number of different materials and techniques.
ULUPUDS jury has awarded a Great Bienalle Prize to Katarina Lazic Vasiljevic, and two equal prizes to Larisa Ackov and Biljana Rakanovic.
The exhibition continues until October 25 2007.
