Kunsthaus Zurich Reviews 2007 and Presents Its Annual Programme for 2008With classic photographs by Edward Steichen, European Pop Art, contemporary Swiss art and Italian Modernism, in 2008 Kunsthaus Zürich will present as wide a range of temporary exhibitions as ever to complement its permanent collection.
Weekend openings will be extended.
The past year has been a success, with an attendance figure of 310,000.
The international architectural competition for the new extension is already under way.
Thanks to the generosity of certain donors, the Kunsthaus collection of paintings and sculptures ranging from the 15th century to the present day has continued to grow in 2007, with new acquisitions.
Details of all these can be found in the newly issued complete, illustrated Catalogue of Paintings and Sculptures.
With its new opening times, the Kunstgesellschaft is responding to the wishes expressed by the public in a visitor survey.
Now visitors can enjoy the art on show in the Kunsthaus until eight o'clock also on Friday evenings and until six o'clock in the evenings at weekends.
