Sumi Painting Workshop by Renowned Painter Yuming ZhuBack by popular demand, Muse Art and Design will once again host a two-day Sumi painting workshop, led by master Sumi painter Yuming Zhu.
Literally translated to black ink painting, Sumi uses an economy of brush strokes aiming to depict the spirit, rather than the semblance of an object.
Based in Seattle, Zhu comes to Portland to share the principles of Sumi at his two-day workshop entitled Sumi and Soul.
The weekend course will be held March 28-29, 2008 at The MuseRoom at 4136 SE Hawthorne Blvd.
