Biennale in Berlin 2004

Berlin appears today as a place in which the civil and political traumas of the separation of the city into two parts for long decades are still visible, alongside however traces of previous greatness. The historic remains of the city survive alongside the crumbling parts or unbuilt on areas, or those recently built on, signs of an international architecture that leaves a profound mark in the city incarnated in the new complex of Potsdamer Platz.
