Good Design 2005
The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design presents its annual Good Design exhibition for the latest industrial and graphic designs by prominent American, European, and Asian designers and manufacturers. The 2005 exhibit openes at The Chicago Athenaeum in January 2006.
Deadline for submission is July 1, 2005.
Anything produced and/or designed from 2003 to the present is eligible including: Office and Residential Furniture, Housewares, Lighting, Appliances, Transportation, Consumer Products, Business and Industrial Equipment, Hardware/Tools, Machinery, Electronics, Communications and Medical Equipment, Computer Equipment, Environmental Design. All submitted products must have been produced by a manufacture or scheduled for production.
Any graphic and packaging design produced and/or de-signed from 2003 to the present is eligible including: Books, Magazines, Advertisements, Catalogues, Handbooks, Posters. and Digital and Media Interfaces.
The winning submissions to the 2005 Good Design program are scheduled for exhibition at The Chicago Athenaeumin in 2006.
Winning submissions to the Museum's Good Design program are accessioned into the Chicago Athenaeum's Permanent Design Collection. Selected designers and manufactures are allowed to use the Museum's name and Good Design logo in publications, promotions, and marketing as specified in a joint legal agreement with the Museum.
The fee is $200.00 USD per entry. Checks are made payable to The Chicago Athenaeum or payment by American Express, Master Card, or Visa.
All winning entries become property of the permanent design collection at The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design. Projects selected for exhibition will require the use of the product or model for exhibition purposes.
