Coffeeunplugged : A Vision into the Future of Coffee Nespresso Announces its First International Design Contest with Partner INTERNI
Open to all design students, top European schools and a jury of international designers and editors

Nespresso, a company dedicated to the highest quality coffee, design excellence and the art of innovation, is proud to announce the launch of its first international design contest, COFFEEUNPLUGGED, in partnership with INTERNI, the acclaimed Italian magazine specializing in architecture and design.
COFFEEUNPLUGGED is open to all design students and European design schools. The following schools have already been invited this year to participate in the contest under the tutorage of very special professors and lectures, who are also design experts at an international level:

After the initial screening, the projects will be collected in Milan and judged by a final jury. This judging panel is comprised of international design experts and editors :

as well as of Nespresso and INTERNI representatives: Gerhard Berssenbrügge, CEO Nestlé Nespresso S.A. Gilda Bojardi, INTERNI Editor in Chief.
The jury will evaluate the projects, select the ones that are suitable for 3-D models and rank the winners according to the following main criteria: innovative content, design quality and future potential.
First-, second- and third-place finishers (and a special mention) will be awarded with a total of € 26,000 in prize money. The results will be announced publicly during the awards ceremony in April 2006 at the Milan Design Fair, where the best works and 3-D models will be featured in a special exhibition.
The winners of COFFEEUNPLUGGED might have the opportunity to bring their project to life and have their design actually industrialized by Nespresso.
