Put aside the client project (or class assignment) for a few minutes and let your creativity run wild.
Chicago is evolving right before your eyes. A plethora of sustainability-related events have developed in the past few years on everything from renewable energy to green buildings to recycling. City government and local nonprofits have been addressing these and other issues in a variety of ways. The only problem? Not enough people know about them!
A chance to put your talents to use for a higher purpose.
Unfortunately these valuable initiatives often lack significant public exposure and promotion due to budgetary and/or personnel constraints. With the assistance of your creativity, the Foresight Design Initiative wants to break down this barrier and get the word out to more people about how the city is striving to "evolve better."
No bosses, no account executives, no professors, just one assignment.
You are invited to put your creative talents to good use, break away from the daily grind of producing for clients (or art/design classes) and contribute to an important public service. Your task is simple: pick a topic/event, research it a bit, and then design a compelling advertisement that gets people talking. Banner ads populate millions of web pages. To draw users' attention, they have become increasingly more dynamic, incorporating bold graphics, animation, clever tricks and multimedia elements.
Your design will live on, hopefully for several months or more.
