VOLVO SportsDesign FORUM and AWARD 2006
"Active Safety" - Safety for the Future!
For 2005, the VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD was announced by ispo and VOLVO to honor the outstanding innovative product and design developments within the sports industry. 281 applications from the sports industry, designers and students have been brought into the contest. After a successful launch in 2005 the VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD will again be organized.
Cabaret artist Karl Valentin once claimed: "Even the future was better in the past." He may have been right - but one thing is true - it will definitely be safer. Which is why the compelling of "Active Safety" was selected for the upcoming VOLVO SportsDesign FORUM and AWARD show in January 2006.
Leading designers from across the globe will present trendsetting design solutions that protect the body, mind and sports equipment as well as improve the functionality and durability of equipment. This yearly forum was brought into existance through a cooperation between the Volvo Car Corporation in Göteborg and ispo, the world's leading international sporting equipment and goods trade show.
