Logo Design Competition
The Vocational Training Council (VTC) is Hong Kong's biggest vocational education and training institution which provides job related training and education at the sub-degree level to 160,000 people every year mainly through its 9 IVE campuses, 15 Training and Development Centers, the School of Business and Information Systems and the Institute of Professional Education and Knowledge.
The VTC is bringing together its three strong design related departments, namely Design, Fashion&Textiles, and Printing&Digital Media, with a full time student population about 4000, to establish the 'Hong Kong Design Institute' with a new look in a new location.
The purpose is to foster a synergy within the design disciplines and to further build a creative and dynamic teaching and learning environment, adding value to the services and opportunities to students so as to meet the future needs of the region's commercial and industrial infrastructure.
Eligibility The Competition is open to all designers, design educators, design students, individuals, institutions, organisations and companies in Hong Kong and overseas. All participants of the designs must be at least 18 years of age on the date the Entry Form is signed. To avoid any conflict of interest, all full-time employees of the Vocational Training Council are not qualified to enter the competition.
Prize Awards Champion 10,000 US dollars 4 Finalists 1000 US dollars each
The champion and the four finalists of the competition will be notified by mail in May 2006 and will be invited to the Award Presentation Ceremony at the 2006 IVE Graduation Exhibition in June in Hong Kong. The organiser will not notify the participants individually on the result of the competition.
Submission Procedures Each participant may submit at most three entries. Each entry must have a seperate entry form. Each entry should be submitted in a sealed envelope which is marked clearly on the front 'Logo Design Competition for the Hong Kong Design Institute'.
The submission deadline is 31 March 2006.
