Nodus Design Logo Competition
Enter our logo competition to win free, premium, high visibility advertising on our website until 2006 by designing the logo for our new company brand! Closing date is Thursday 31st March 2005.
Do you enjoy creating logos? Fancy yourself as a bit of an artist? Ever looked at the logo of a company and thought "I can do better than that"?
Well, here's your chance.
This is the moment to show everybody your skills and win a wonderful prize! Nodus Design are giving you the chance to win free, premium, high visibility advertising on our site until 2006 as well as worldwide fame for designing the logo! (Maybe not quite worldwide.)
For the next 3 months we will be running a competition to design the logo for our new company brand. We would be delighted if you, (yes you, the person reading this) entered our competition. You don't have to be a design guru (but it might help your chances). The competition will run in a single stage format and is open to everyone apart from the actual judges themselves. That means that entries can come from anyone, including professional design agencies, but all logos will be judged on their merit alone.
To enter, please read the following design brief first to ensure that your design fits the requirements:
Design Brief We are deliberately keeping the specification quite open to allow your creative juices to flow. However, there are a few guidelines for you to follow in order to produce the kind of identity we are looking for.
The new name for Nodus Design will be... Opiva. (Pronunciation: Op'ee'va)
Opiva will be a multi-faceted design firm, involved in new media avenues such as web design, 2d graphics, 3d modeling and animation as well as providing services to the design industry such as a design directory and awards program.
Opiva will become a major name in the design industry/community and the identity needs to clearly reflect this. The logo must project an image of professionalism, strength, confidence and integrity whist still retaining a creative influence. When designing the logo think... modern, clean, and understated. There is no colour scheme set, you may choose whichever colours you feel will best represent the previous information.
Submission Guide Upon receiving your submission we will add your logo to our submissions gallery with a link back to a site of your choice! Yes that's right! Every applicant will gain extra visitors to their site just by entering. (If applicable.)
When creating the logo, we advise you to work in a large size and then scale down for submission as we may ask you for original source files.
Please email your submission to logo@nodusdesign.com using the following format:
Email Subject: Nodus | Competition Submission Name: Your full name Chosen URL: i.e. www.yoursite.com Comments: Any comments you wish to make about your logo
There is a strict closing date of Thursday 31st March 2005. No entries will be accepted after this date. A committee of judges from within our company will then sit down and decide on the winning logo.
The winner will be named on Thursday 14th April 2005 and will be notified by email. Their details will be published on our web site at www.nodusdesign.com on the 15th and in the April issue of the Nodus Newsletter, released on Saturday 30th April.
All logo suggestions must be in electronic format, and can be sent via email to logo@nodusdesign.com
