IFI Design for All Award
For the second time the International Federation of Interior Architects/ Designers, IFI, will launch the bi- annual Award called "Design for All Award".
The IFI Design for All Award was launched in 2003 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of IFI and in order to award excellent design in the service of humanity.
The ambition behind this award is to promote Interior Architects, Architects or Designers realized work in the field of social relevant design. The area of design included in "Design for All" broadly aims at solutions which benefit marginalised groups in society, including design solutions to aid handicapped people within society according to space planning, transportation, utensils etc. The theme also includes solutions relating to Green Design i.e. design solutions for a sustainable society on a larger or smaller scale.
The projects must not be older than 2 years after finalisation and should be presented the IFI board not later than May 15 2005.

OTHER INFORMATION Entering applications Should be made only on the form to be found on the IFI website http://www.ifiworld.org
All information must be written in English.
The project should be presented only in digital form on a CD ROM. The solution of images should not be lower than 300 dpi thus being able to print.
Descriptions of the project could also be delivered by e-mail in Word format, or as an PDF file.
All images should be free to copy and to distribute on IFI Web site or in an eventually printed report after the prize ceremony.
IFI will not be able to return any material submitted for entry.
Result and communication The result of the competition will be communicated by all IFI communication tools as well as trough press information to important newspapers and magazines.
Prize ceremony The prize ceremony will be held at the IFI General Assembly meeting in Copenhagen, Sept 2005. The winner or a representative of the winner will be invited to this event.
Commitee and Jury Head of the Award event and chairman of the jury is IFI Past President Professor Olle Anderson.

The jury will call for additional specialists if and when needed.
Award sum There will be one Award. The prize sum will be 10.000 US $ IFI will also support the winner with travelling and accommodation costs for the award ceremony in Copenhagen with maximum 3.000 US $
In case no entry is found worthy of the Award, the prize sum will be saved for the next Award.
Schedule Entries should be delivered not later then May 15 2005-09-08.
The result of the jury's decision will not be official until the GA. The winner will be informed one month prior to the General Assembly.
Immediately after the GA the result will be announced on the IFI website as well as through a press release.
