Resist Graphic Design Contest
Join Your Forces To Resist!
Wudge, Unchi Leisure Center and OrgasmikDesign present their graphic contest open to any group or individual: "Join Your Forces To Resist!". Participants will have to illustrate a theme: "Resist!" and will be able to create a maximum of 3 compositions in the A4 format.
The jury, comprised of renowned professionals of the graphic design and illustration community (123Klan ; Cédric Malo ; Alex Cañada ; Darren Firth ; Spoe), will make a selection of their 10 favourite entries based on originality and coherence with the subject.
The top 3 participants will receive awards from the organizers and the partners (toyz, t-shirts, sweaters, cds...) and articles on the results will be published in specialised magazines.
Participants may register their entries for the contest on this site in the REGISTRATION section starting January 9, 2005. The deadline for registration is March 1, 2005. Go to the RULES section for all the info concerning your participation.
Theme : RESIST ! Participants will illustrate this theme freely.
Dates : Participants may register their entries for the contest starting January 9, 2005. The deadline for registration is Midnight, March 1, 2005 (France time). No further entries will be accepted after this date. The results will be posted on the Orgasmik Design website in March of 2005.
Specifications : Original work has to be in the A4 format (21X29.7 cm / 8.268x11.693 inches), 300Dpi and CMYK color mode. For the sake of file size, we ask that the participants send a 495x700 pixels, 72Dpi and RGB color mode jpeg preview of their work. The preview HAS TO be named like this: NameFirstname01.jpg "Name" being the last name of the participant and "Firstname", the participant's first name and 01 the number of his or her creation. Each participant is allowed a maximum of 3 entries and must be named accordingly. (NameFirstname01.jpg, NameFirstname02.jpg, NameFirstname03.jpg)
Eligibility : This contest is open to any individual or group, with no constraints of nationality, sex or religion. Any entry that does not correspond to the given specifications will not be considered for the contest.
All techniques are allowed (drawing, picture, 3D, etc.).
Entries must be original work created for this contest and must not have been released commercially.
All rights of the entries will be surrendered to the contest organizers. Entries shall not contain elements whose rights belong to a third party without its authorisation. The contest organizers will hold the participant responsible for any repercussions resulting from this.
ATTENTION : ANY ENTRY THAT DOES NOT RESPECT THESE SPECIFICATIONS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED !
Registration : Registration for the contest is made by filling out an online form which include the participant's last name, first name, age, location (city and country), URL and email address. The participants have to upload the preview of their work in the specifications described under "Specifications". Once the registration is submitted, a confirmation email will be sent.
Awards : Each work submitted to the contest will be shown to a jury. The jury will make a selection of the 10 best projects and will award the first 3. The 10 selected participants will be contacted and they will be featured in a special session of the OrgasmikDesign project that will show their works.

Jury : The jury is comprised, in addition to the contest organizers, by professionals of the graphic design and illustration industry and by renowned artists: 123Klan ; Cédric Malo ; Alex Cañada ; Darren Firth ;
Spoe.
Entries will be judged on their originality and coherence with the theme.
Copyrights : Winners will be contacted by email in order to send their original work. We ask that the winners keep the results of the contest confidential until those results are posted on the contest site. Participants accept to surrender the rights relative to their creations to the contest organizers. No remuneration will be offered or received from the contest organizers. The contest organizers retain all rights to entries received and reserve the right to use the winning projects as they see fit. Any use of the entries will be accompanied by the name of its creator. Participants shall not use their creation for the contest commercially.
The contest organizers are under no obligation of using the winners' creations. However, the creator will be informed before any use of it. Just as the organizers have the right to contact any person that has been involved in the contest, the organizers reserve the right to use any entry submitted to the contest - winning or otherwise.
