Images 32 - The Best of British Contemporary Illustration 2008
Call for Entries
The Association of Illustrators (AOI) invites once again illustrators and commissioners to enter last year's best illustration projects in the Images competition.
Since more than 30 years, Images is the only jury-selected illustration annual published in the UK. Gold, silver and bronze awards are presented in the categories Advertising, Books, Design, Editorial, Self-promotion and New Talent.
Entering the Images competition gives illustrators the unique opportunity to have their work judged by an internationally recognised panel of highly regarded commissioners, well-known illustrators, art directors and design critics.
The AOI is particularly proud of the strong panel of judges for Images 32, which includes award winning design duo Non-Format, Yuko Shimizu, an illustrator based in New York, John McFaul, Creative Director and Image-maker at McFaul, Menno Klein, Art Director at Saatchi and Saatchi in New York and design consultant and acclaimed writer and editor of illustraton magazine, Varoom, Adrian Shaughnessy.
'Many a time I've been to see an art director and noticed a copy of Images on their desk. What gives it the edge on other books is the fact that it's judged by other illustrators, the toughest judges you could have. Be in Images - get work!' Andy Smith, illustrator
The entry form is available on the AOI website http//www.theaoi.com/images32 where it can be completed online or downloaded. To have an entry form posted to you please call the AOI office on 020 7613 4328.
Deadline: Monday, 30th July 2007, 5pm The Association of Illustrators (AOI): http://www.dexigner.com/directory/detail/3553/
