Call for Entries
New Arrivals/New Voices will showcase the work of the candidates short-listed for the REFRESH! Award, which was established last year and is worth £1,000. The prize is donated by The Coningsby Gallery and Début Art and aims to promote new talent whom the jury believes 'will make a significant contribution to illustration as an artistic and commercial communication form over the coming years'.
The jury comprises 5 high-profile industry professionals and illustrators selected by Andrew Coningsby and the Association of Illustrators.
Eligible are university projects by students who are attending full-time illustration or visual communication courses in the UK or have graduated in 2007, and published work by illustrators practicing for not more than two years. The AOI and Coningsby Gallery also welcome entries by commissioners who have worked on exciting and innovative projects with illustrators new to the profession. The entry is free.
