2007 Interstellar Street Art Expo
Stellar 7 Media, a lifestyle marketing boutique, announced today that the 2007 Interstellar Expo will take place July 6-8 in Los Angeles, California at the Hollywood Rennaisance Hotel. Interstellar is an international exhibition of street art, sneakers and toys and is expected to draw thousands of artists and trendsetters in from around the world.
The 2007 Interstellar Expo is being positioned to become the mecca of global street culture within the next five years. The highly antcipated event was created to provide a centralized platform for international artists and trendsetters to celebrate creativity in all avenues of global street culture.
"The imagemakers and style influencers of the world will be at Interstellar. These are the artists that have great impact on global youth culture and shape the clothes, shoes and images we see in TV and magazines today," said Suzanne Kassem, President of Stellar 7 Media and creator of the Interstellar Expo. "For the general public, Interstellar is about inspiring people and enriching their lives with color. For the artist, Interstellar is about connecting them with other artists for collaborations, increasing their visibility with foreign partners and getting them seen in front of a highly receptive international audience."
The 3-day event hosts a fun-filled interactive program designed to stimulate non-artists and artists of all levels. For designer and illustrators, there are plenty of contests, receptions, workshops, professional industry seminars and opportunities for them to meet the press, companies that could hire them and curators or publishers that will push to get their work seen.
T-Shirt Heaven is another feature where artists can build their brands and test-drive their designs before selling them in the mass market. Interstellar also offers the Galactic Marketplace, the International Exhibition Arena for hipsters to buy, sell, and exhibit their wares, the Sneaker Hall of Fame, Style Summit, and the Toy Galaxy which will be filled with the most colorful selection of designer toys on the planet.

Interstellar Expo will also be the official home of the 2007 International Design & Illustration Awards Ceremony where the public nominates and votes for artists online almost three months prior to the the event. Street art enthusiasts can begin nominating their favorite artists online beginning April 17th.
