Colourisation of Rhythm: 'Mehter' Bands of the Turks
Complement your experience of the Turks exhibition with a Friday evening talk. In his slide lecture illustrated with recorded music, composer and musicologist Dr Araci explores the origins of the centuries-old Turkish military bands, the 'mehter'.
