Michael Kenny RA: The Stations of the Cross
The RA Collection's recent acquisition of the late Michael Kenny's The Stations of the Cross , 1998-99 is a visual narrative of the 14 stages from Christ's condemnation to his resurrection, created by one of the most distinguished British sculptors of his generation. The series of mixed-media drawings is both Kenny's personal vision of the spiritual nature of art and one of the most powerful series of devotional images to have been produced in Britain since the Reformation.
