Architects From All Over The World Meet At Uia 2005 International Fair For Construction & Architecture In Istanbul
The UIA 2005 International Fair for Construction & Architecture, will be organized in Istanbul, between 3 - 7 July 2005, in conjunction with the XXII. World Architecture Congress of UIA. Hosted by the Chamber of Architects of Turkey, The UIA 2005 Istanbul Congress will bring together over 7,000 architects worldwide, where the theme selected will be Cities: Grand Bazaar of ArchitectureS. A real and virtual "Bazaar" will be created in line with the theme of the XXII. Congress.
Exhibitors at the Fair will have the opportunity to display their latest designs, technology, products, services and know-how to more than 100,000 visitors as the Grand Bazaar and Fair grounds will be accessible to everyone in the city. Architects, students, clients, decision-makers, industrialists, hardware and software companies, community leaders, and concerned individuals and institutions will be there in addition to over 7,000 congress delegates who will visit the fair during the congress.
Istanbul, one of the candidate cities at 1999 UIA Congress and General Assembly in Beijing, China, was selected as the venue of the 2005 Congress and Fair, based on the attraction of the city of Istanbul, as well as Turkey's experience in the field of architecture and the support provided by the public and private sectors. Turkish Architecture will be under spotlight with the interest of architects worldwide drawn to Istanbul in July 2005.
The UIA 2005 International Fair for Construction & Architecture aims at becoming a platform where architects and the building industry from all over the world will meet and share their knowledge and experience; where thoughts, visions and executed works will be exhibited, sharing and comparing their dreams, visions and successes. Projects and designs of architects, technologies, software and all kinds of material and equipment related to the building industry are welcome to be exhibited.
