Design Year 2005
2005 has been declared an official design year in Denmark and this is to be celebrated in style.
During Design Year 2005, Copenhagen assembles the newest and best in the world of design for a magnificent series of international events that will continue to have an impact for many years to come. Exhibitions, conferences and the world's largest design prizes highlight design - in Denmark and abroad.
Era 05: World Design Congress. Joint world congress for the international design organisations Icograda, Icsid and IFI hosted by 16 design agencies and organisations in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
INDEX: Award. The world's largest design and innovation award ceremony will take place in Copenhagen on September 23rd. 118 designs to improve life from all over the world have been selected from hundreds of nominees. 5 of these will receive the INDEX: Awards and 100,000 €. The award categories are Body, Home, Work, Play and Community.
INDEX: Award Exhibition presents the top 100 nominated designs in exhibitions in five public squares in Copenhagen. Admission is free.
Cumulus: Conference on Future Design and Innovation. Annual meeting for the association of universities and schools for art, design and media from all over the world at Danmarks Designskole.
DANISH - framing the future of design. Exhibition at the Danish Design Centre on the new generation of Danish designers and their alternative notions of the concept of Danish design.
