4th International Student Triennial
Marmara University Faculty of Arts will be presenting the 4th International Student Triennial and Symposium that unites artists and designers of the future in Istanbul. Having received great national and worldwide attention in the first, second and third triennials that took place during the years 1997, 2000 and 2003, Marmara University, this time expects to reach even broader participants and audiences. This organization, which brings together faculties and institutions from all over the world as well as Turkey, provides significant feedbacks regarding the developments of art and design education and allows to build an interaction and communication network among students preparing for the challenges of universal art and design.
The 4th Student Triennial will once more define the city of Istanbul as the center of art and design whose mission has been to carry historical values to the future throughout the years.
Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, with its students, faculty and eleven galleries is the host of this activity. In our age of communication, interaction among people has become extraordinarily easy. Nevertheless, no communication means would replace togetherness and face-to-face interaction of the young artists and designers who find a platform to directly express themselves and share their insights.
In 2006, Marmara University expects to bring together in Istanbul the works of artists and designers who create a universal language with their works. The triennial and symposium will take place between 5-30 June 2006.
