Levi's Original Music Presents the Oppikoppi Original Graphic Design Finals

It's that time of year again for the annual Oppikoppi student Graphic Design Final. This exciting initiative started out eight years ago in collaboration with the University of Pretoria's Graphic Design department. It has grown tremendously since then. And with the support of Levi's Original Music over the last three years, it has elevated to new heights.
This annual competition is incorporated within the final year syllabus, whereby students have to design a full promotional campaign for the Oppikoppi August Festival. This includes designs for posters, flyers, website, t-shirts and any other form of merchandise used at the festival.
This year the winning design will once again be used for the poster campaign of the August OppiKoppi Festival. The Final draws to a close with the announcement of the winner taking place at Tings 'n Times in Hatfield, Pretoria on Wednesday 10 May 2006.
"Levi's Original Music is excited to once again be involved in such an edgy youth initiative to develop local arts and music in this country, which we so strongly believe in" says Levi's Strauss' Michael Leslie. "This is a great platform for youth to express themselves artistically, and get their work displayed to their peers at such a magnitude - a local music festival they all attend. Levi's believes strongly in originality and support this project 100%. It is a development of original artworks much like the Levi's brand".
Works from the 2005 finalists will be displayed at the venue throughout the evening. Following the finals, a virtual gallery of all the designs over the past 7 years will be posted on the Levi's website http://www.levis.co.za"
Entertainment will be provided by Oppikoppi favourites Tidal Waves and also 206's DJ Bob. R15 gets you in. Bookings are advised on 012-430-3176.
