Women in Design Event
The purpose of the event is:
- To promote the role of women in the design industry amongst parliamentarians - To seek to influence the development of public policy to facilitate greater equality - To work with business to improve retention and recruitment procedures for women in the design industry
A Government Minister will be in attendance as our key speaker, and we are delighted to have two prominent women from the design industry as guest speakers: Ingrid Baron, Head of Industrial Design at IDEO London and Anita Brightly-Hodges FCSD, the founder and MD of Still Waters Run Deep.
Kindly sponsored by the Chartered Society of Designers, this promises to be an exciting event at which prominent people, with a shared interest in the goals of WISED and the Associate Parliamentary Design and Innovation Group, can come together and celebrate the successes of women in the UK design industry.
Tuesday 20 June 2006, 6 - 9pm, Attlee Suite, Portcullis House.
