6th Volvo Sportsdesign Forum: Experience the Future of Design
In 2003 a new idea was brought into life and this idea is now the most exciting meeting point of Sport and Design: The 6th VOLVO SportsDesign FORUM offers the opportunity to experience fascinating talks about the future of SportsDesign. Inventor of the Personal Computer and Apple Co-founder, Steve Wozniak and Formula 1 Star David Coulthard will, amongst others speak at this year's Volvo SportsDesign FORUM at ispo winter 07.
Masterminds, Sportsmen, Designer and top managers out of the industry and science world meet up at the ICM in Munich, the day before the ispo winter 07 starts, Occasion is the 6th edition of the VOLVO SportsDesign FORUM, which has established a high reputation as the leading event within the topic of SportsDesign.
In recent years speeches were held amongst others by surf legend Robby Naish, snowboard legend Jake Burton and international renowned Designers like Andrej Kupetz, chairman of the German Design Council and the famous Yves Béhar. The international prestigiousness is demonstrated by the list of famous speakers that will talk and discuss the topic "Personal Design" on February 3rd in Munich.
Formula 1 icon David Coulthard will highlight in his speech the efficiency and necessity of the personalized sports equipment within the competing world of Formula One. Computer pioneer Steve Wozniak - he invented 1976 with the Apple I the Personal Computer - will present his visions about technology and society. Industry insiders should start getting excited about the speeches from Stefano Natoli, Rick Ridgeway and Jeff Hakman: The top-class representatives of NIKEiD, Patagonia and Quiksilver will talk about Personal Design of the Shoe- and textile branches.

VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD The VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD will take place for the third time. The Award has established itself as one of the most sought after awards within industry, design and amongst students. An international jury will choose their favorite product of every category. Their criteria are: functionality, form, personalization, and innovation, use of material, color and graphic. The winners will receive a sculpture and students are additionally given a cheque over 5.000 Euros. The winning products will be published on a double page in the VOLVO SportsDesign AWARD Book and is displayed at the VOLVO SportsDesign exhibitions.
