AIGA Los Angeles Celebrates Emerging Design Talent with EMERGE

The Los Angeles chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design, is proud to host EMERGE, an exhibition of student graphic design. EMERGE will be held at the Fine Arts Gallery at California State University, Los Angeles, from January 12 through February 6, 2008. Admittance is free.
EMERGE will showcase work from approximately 90 designers attending the L.A. area's top programs. Students benefit from having work shown in a gallery setting, while AIGA/LA will be awarding a number of scholarships to participating students, as part of the AIGA/LA Scholarship Fund in support of emerging designers.
Said David Mayes, VP of Finance, AIGA/LA, "One of the goals of AIGA/LA is to support student designers and for the organization to become an integral force in their lives, as they begin their design careers and beyond. This is one reason we established the AIGA/LA Scholarship Fund, which will award $1,000 to one student from each of the area schools that have an AIGA student group. We hope to double this by next year and into the future."
