Design Korea 2007

Design Korea 2007 will take place from 29 November - 6 December 2007 at the COEX Atlantic Hall and COEX Grand Ballroom in Seoul, Korea. Design Korea, where about 1,900 visitors attended in 2005, provides an introduction to the latest trends and information in the design business as well as opportunity to expand design business networks. This year's events include the World Best Design Exchange, International Conference and the Convention on Design Promotion.
The World Best Design Exchange in Seoul 2007 will provide an overview of global design trends and issues for 2007-2008 by presenting the latest design trends and global movements. Exhibitions will include future-oriented designs such as the world's latest robotic design, ubiquitous design, eco-design, sports design, graphic and product designs and other user interface design. More than 650 award-winning designs from 19 design promoting organizations in 17 countries will be on display.
Public Design This year's event will include an international exhibition and conference on good public design to present the importance of public design in human life and successful case studies of public place, public facilities, and public image.
Design Management Leading corporations are being invited to exhibit case studies that demonstrate design management and processes to promote the exchange of design abilities between corporations and highlight the importance of design in corporate management. Along with Design Management Institute (DMI), Design Korea, professionals across the globe will participate in the conference and share their insight in Design Management.
B2B Meetings Design firms are invited to participate by exhibiting their latest design products and present promotional materials to show the direction of future design development. This forum strives to create business opportunities between design firms and corporations and to establish a global design network and community.
Design Firm Presentations A selection of leading design firms from the International Design Business Zone will introduce their unique design process and design philosophy in order to create new partnerships and to realize strategic business goals.
Organized by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP), Design Korea is hosted by Korea's Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) and supported by the Korea Federation of Design Associations (KFDA), the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), the Korea Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI), the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA). Design Korea is endorsed by International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid) and International Council of Graphic Design associations (Icograda).
