Singapore Built & Unbuilt

Singapore Built & Unbuilt is an exhibition featuring new Singapore architecture from 32 winning works and finalist entries of recent competitions and projects. Each architecture project, whether built or unbuilt, is a paradigm for new Singapore architecture. The featured projects are drawn from three growth centres of Singapore architecture:

a. Possibilities at Marina Bay includes the soon to be built Integrated Resort, Marina Bay Bridge and Gardens by the Bay.
b. Perspectives of the City features new and evolving designs for the city centre, including proposals for the Museum MRT Station, Singapore Arts School and the Singapore Management University.
c. Prototypes at one-north presents built and unbuilt proposals for the one-north Master Plan, condominium @ one-north and Fusionopolis I @ one-north.

The works are presented through a winding, 80m-long strip of lightboxes interspersed with screens showing project fly-throughs, short-films on Singapore culture, and interviews with architects. This is accompanied by 7 architectural models of the projects.
Singapore Built & Unbuilt is the returning Singapore Pavilion that was featured at the prestigious Venice Biennale 10. International Architecture Exhibition. The exhibition system was designed by Mr Sim Boon Yang of ECO ID. Architects and Ms Lim Siew Hui of Designation. The exhibition features a film essay by Dreamforest, photography by MING on Singapore's environment, as well as a sound and art installation created with Terence Yeung.
