The Speed of Innovation and Its Impact on Creative Processes
How come innovation and speed are often perceived as barriers when creating new value for businesses? How do you use them to your own advantage? How can timely, strategic design unfold an organization's identity? And how are current Scandinavian design trends converted into real life products?
When: Tuesday August 14, 6PM Wine & Cheese Reception, 7PM Presentation + Q&A Where: Innovation Center Denmark 200 Page Mill Road, Suite 100, Palo Alto, CA 94306
Frederik Andersen Award winning Danish designer Frederik Andersen from Goodmorning Technology will seek to answer these questions at an exciting event at Innovation Center Denmark.
"All around us, we see cutting edge products that change our mindset just by using them," says the 33 year old Danish designer. "It appears that these products came out of nowhere, seemingly overnight, and took the market by storm. In reality, many of these products have a history of 10 - 15 years of development from invention to a final product. If you can synthesize part of this really slow process, you can create something extremely valuable."
Frederik, for instance, demonstrated this when his design company Goodmorning Technology saved a business an eight figure amount by changing their packaging design and as he increased sales by 30% for another client by revitalizing a physical product design.
When he won the Danish Design Prize in the category of Future Products with a software project that digitizes architecture processes, he showed the ability to combine an object oriented digital approach to an old fashioned industry. Frederik has also pioneered digital photo and online entertainment services as a designer and information architect.
At Goodmorning Technology, he works with clients in defining their experience design platform and is constantly seeking new challenges within his field. Working with LED lighting (Light Emission Diodes) at the globally renowned RISŲ Science Centre is one of his latest endeavors.
Frederik Andersen is the winner of multiple International design awards, among them the internationally renowned iF Award 2007 for the AM Denmark PC cleaning product EasyClean, and is member of the Top 100 talented young Danish business people under 35.
